Little Miss Muffet...Easel card

I hope y'all were able to check out the wonderful Paris release from LMMS as well as the release from Whimsy Stamps and Make it Crafty.

Now it's time for another new challenge at Little Miss Muffet, and for this challenge we'd love to see your easel cards or step cards! However, if you use a LMMS image the theme is always anything goes!

Aren't these two just gorgeous and glamorous together? The woman are images from LMMS called Evelyn and Florence, and I've merged them with the background from Make it Crafty. I've used some paper I found floating around in my scrap drawer and I drew from the paper the colors for their dresses. The black pearls swirl is also from my stash that I had picked up at my LSS.

The chipboard scrolls in the corners and the chipboard around the sentiment (from Whimsy) are from Make it Crafty and embossed in black Filigree.

The copic colors for the dresses are R08, 05, 02, 00, 0000; C9, 7, 5, 3, 1, 0; the walls E43, 42, 41, and colorless blender; the brick E19, 17, 13, 11 and the vines a hodgepodge of YGs and Gs.

MMCS Challenge...Springs Colors

Another week has zoomed by and brings us to another challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop!

She definitely looks like she is ready for spring! I've paired her up with some Reminisce papers I had in my stash. The flowers are from WOC and Harmonie and the pearls from Melissa Frances. The sheer polka dotted ribbon is from PTI and the sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie.

It's one of my favorite times of the month....preview days for the new Tickled Pink images!

This release is too cool (well they are too cool), but this one has a bit of a worldly flair to it as the Lolitas are going around the world. And of course the first stop on the world tour is Australia....

Isn't she just fab!! I've paired her up with some We R Memory Keeper papers. The oh so perfect pre-made tag is from a Reminisce collection I picked up at my LSS.

As always, she was colored up with my ever handy copics. The reds were done in R89, 59, 56, 46, 43; the blues in B39, 37, 34, 32; her skin E99, 11, 00, 000; hair E29, 25, 35 and her boots in E55, 53, 50.

What a Sweetheart

It's seems like forever and a day that I've done a card just because I felt like it!!! I've ditched the kids for a few moments to get this post up, and then I'm back to starring in the movie Groundhog's Day with a couple of my kids! I guess it's just karma (good or bad...I'm still unsure) that my birthday is on Groundhog's day. I swear with these two kids I could get through the day just playing a recording of the same things I've been saying for their entire lives and save myself a headache or two. If there is one positive to say, they are persistently stubborn, however, they've yet to learn that I will win the stubborn game every day and all day:)! No need to tell them all of my secrets though.

Anyway onto the card...

I was lucky enough to win this stamp which is from the Cutie Pie collection of Little Darlings from a giveaway that Janiel did about a month ago.

Isn't she just a sweet as can be? This stamp is called What a Sweetheart. I've masked her and used an Elizabeth Bell stamp for the grass and flowers background. I've paired her up with Authentique papers and pearl swirls from my stash. The die cut is from My Favorite Things. I've left off a sentiment so I can go back later and add one for an appropriate occasion or just keep it blank.

I've used bristol board paper from Canson for this image. I can't say that I have an ultimate favorite paper that I use for all my copic work. I use quite a variety of different papers and what I grab depends on how much ink I want to lay down, what kind of layering of colors I want and believe it or not, what the weather is like. I've watched all of these lovely videos of people coloring with copics laying down dark color after dark color, and I've never been able to accomplish that without creating a sticky mess, and no it's no oversaturation of the paper, it really is the drying of the dark ink before it can get into the paper. After a bit of research (and tons of paper and making sure my nibs were in good shape and the pens were well filled etc etc), it comes down to the climate I live in and the rapidly changing barometric pressure we experience. I live at over 7,000 ft and we have little to no humidity. Oh there are wonderful things about no humidity...I haven't had a mosquito bite in about 3 years (and no biting horse flies either), no wearing Deep Woods off and trying to pass it off as the new summer perfume, chips don't get stale when you leave the bag open, soda doesn't go flat if you leave it on the counter for the entire day (or two or three). But extreme dryness doesn't bode well for lush landscaping, skin, hair and apparently dark colored copics! But I've learned to adapt and use some compensatory techniques.

The colors used on her dress are B05, 02, 00, 0000; her hat C3, 02, 0; her hair E18, 19, 08, 02; skin E11, 00, 000 and the flowers on her hat with several different colors from the BV range.

March 4-8th Giveaway

It's time for another weekly giveaway! I do hope everyone is enjoying linking up and no worries if your number(s) hasn't popped up yet...I still have a lot of stamps and other items to giveaway throughout the year.

This week I have 3 wonderful and very gently used Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. All 3 of the stamps are unmounted gray rubber. I stamped all of them before posting to ensure they were still in great condition, and all of the girls passed with flying colors.

The first fabulous girl is called Suzette.

Isn't she just so glam and wonderful? She is a lot of fun to color up especially if you love to color folds.

The second beaut is called Cinderella

Who doesn't love princesses? She is also just a blast to color up, and she's actually the first image I tried (key word tried) to color folds!

And last but not least is called Arianna

She's just a precious little Mermaid and as with all Kraftin' Kimmie stamps...a lot of fun to color!

I've had numerous emails asking why they need to be a follower to enter for a chance to win (as it seems unfair to them). Penny's Paper-Crafty...Photo Inspiration

This week our challenge is a Photo Inspiration

Isn't this a fun and funky image to play around with? Colors, shapes, movement, feathers etc. Whatever you can pull from the photo as inspiration, we'd love to see it!

Kenny K was incredibly generous and provided the DT with numerous images to choose from. I chose to work with Soho. I thought she was just fab and funky and a perfect fit for the photo! I paired her up with some SEI papers I found hiding my scrap pile and chose to make a "portrait" from the digi to show off her fabulousness.

I chose to make a circle easel card for her! The sentiment done in red Ranger EP is from PTI and the gems were from my stash which I think I picked up from Tuesday Morning a million eons ago.

This cutie patootie is called Give Peace a chance, and she is from the new Sylvia Zet collection available at SCACD.

I've made the shaped easel card using a Spellbinder die and paired her up with some MME paper. The cloth butterfly is from my stash and the die cut butterflies are from Cheery Lynn, and they were sprayed with Glimmer Mist in Valentine Pink. The sentiment was stamped in black versafine and cut out with a spellbinder's die.

She got all dressed up in her copics today. The pants were done in YG67, 17, 13, 11; the pinks in R85, 83, 81; skin in E99, 11, 00, 000 and the flowers in Y38, 35, 32.

Pinkette new release preview!

Easter Pinkette Egg Faith

Wouldn't you just love to have an Easter egg this large especially if filled with those miniature Reese's peanut butter cups!! I've paired her up with some pale lavender DP I had in my stash. The silver glitter paper and chipboard sentiment I purchased at my LSS and don't recall the manufacturer. The die cut is from MFT called fancy flourish, the crystals from my stash and the pink ribbon from Archiver's.

As per norm, she was colored up with copics. About this time of year, I get tired of looking at my pale pale caulkin (how my friend's son pronounces Caucasian) skin so I decided to give her some beautiful deeper and richer ethnic skin tones. Her skin was done with E25, 13, 11, 21 and her hair in E49, 59, 17, 25, 53. Her dress was V28, 25, 22, 20. The painted dots on the egg and her face were done with Ranger liquid pearls in lavender. And not to self, put liquid pearls on after I run the image through the cuttlebug.

Another two weeks has zipped on by, and it's time for another two week challenge at Karen's Doodles!

I've used the ever adorable Bunny Egg to show off the theme of Easter. Karen has some really adorable Easter images that you can check out HERE at her store website. I've paired her up with some older Memory Box papers I found tucked away. The oval die cut is from Cheery Lynn which was adorned with some I-rock gems in purple and yellow. The ribbon was from my stash as was the chipboard sentiment.

She doused her fur in some copics...RV52, 000 and colorless blender. The egg was done in V28, 25, 22, 21 and the yellow flowers on the egg were painted with smooch paints and then given some glamour dust while the paint was still wet.

The pre-made tag I picked up from Archiver's and stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday in versafine. The corners were dry embossed with a plate from Universal called Sweet Flowers.

Of course she was colored up with copics. The pinks were done with RV19, 17, 55, 52, 000. The teal in BG49, 45, 10 and her skin E11, 95, 00, 000.

Little Miss Muffet...Fancy or Lacy

I hope y'all have had a chance to check out the new Paris releases at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Barbara has come up with some amazing range of images both in digital format and rubber.

It's also time for another new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges, and our theme for this two week challenge is Fancy or Lacy.

I've used another one of the Hatters from the new Paris release and this chica is named Nora Claire! I've paired her up with the Daffodil Dell from Make it Crafty. I think Nora Claire would qualify as the Fancy part of the challenge! I've paired her up with some Bo Bunny papers and a pearl and flower swirl I picked up from Archiver's. The lacy (ish) ribbon was from my stash and probably the only lacy thing I own! I've left this card sentiment free which leaves me open to using her for a variety of occasions when the need arises.

The orange accents were done with YR68, 65, 61; the hat was done in V28, 25, 22, 20 and the dress was done in the BV range.

MMCS...Buttons and Ribbon

Whoaaa...seems like forever since I posted, and I'm working on getting caught up on my commenting, so I apologize if I haven't visited your blog in awhile. What little time I spent in my craft room the last week, I used the time to play around trying to figure out some new stuff with copics and not be so rigid. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I'll have gotten a bit better and will be brave enough to use it in a card. We'll see though.

I've colored Genius up with copics. His pants are G09, 7, 5, 2, 00; shoes B18, 16, 14, 12, bag R59, 56, 46, 43. His hair was one of those things I was just playing around with trying see what I could come up with so from my best recollection it is done with E18, E07; YR18, 12 and some Ys but I don't recall which ones:(

Send a Smile 4 Kids...Spring/Easter Challenge

It's time again for another challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Our theme for this week is Easter and/or Spring themed cards for kids.

We have two generous sponsors for this two week challenge. Delicious Doodles is giving a randomly drawn winner 4 digis of their choice, and Robyn's Fetish is giving a randomly drawn winner 5 digis of their choice. The DT also picks 3 top cards for each challenge so there is plenty of ways to win. Also, you don't have to send in your cards to play along in our challenges though we sure are appreciative when donations are made.

This image from Delicious Doodles is called On the Lookout. This wonderful spring image was colored with colored pencils (my first go at an image colored only with pencils). The sentiment is from MFT, and I just realized I used this sentiment in yesterday's card...oops, but I had colored this one up a while ago and wasn't paying attention to the timing! Oh well. I kept the layout really clean and used some dp from MME with some twine from my stash.

This cutie is from Robyn's Fetish and is called Kid Bunny. She's been colored up with copics. The border die is from Memory Box (shock I know right?) and the papers from MME. The sentiment which I picked up from the $1 bin at Michael's was done in pink Zing ep and cut out with a spellbinder oval die. The eggs in her basket were done in different colors of Ranger's liquid pearls on top with some glamour dust. Her bunny ears and bow received some diamond stickles for just a bit of sparkle.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable week and will have an even better weekend!

Today I'm showing you some more of the wonderful new Paris images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps that were released on Tuesday. Also, there is a wonderful challenge open until February 21st at Three Companies Team Up blog with the theme of LOVE. The winner of this challenge will have their card displayed in an upcoming issue of the Whimsy Magazine...what an amazing opportunity. So head on over to the challenge and check out the guidelines for entry!

I've merged 3 of the new "Hatters" from the Paris release and also used the Cobblestone Path from Make it Crafty. The Hatters (from front to back) are Sophia-Marie, Wilma-Kay and Elisabeth-Louise. Don't they make the best group of girlfriends?! The DP is some papers I found in my stash. The pearls are from Melissa Frances and the Madera Corner die is from Memory Box. The sentiment is from a MFT collection called First Class Friend.

It seemed like I used a gazillion copic colors, so I'll just touch on the dress colors to keep it easy. Sophia-Marie was done in RV29, 25, 23, 21 with her bows receiving some stickles and glossy accents. Wilma-Kay was done in BG09, 57, 53, 000, YR27, 23, 31, 30, and Elisabeth-Louise was done up in V28, 25, 22, 20 and R59, 56, 46 and 43.

MMCS...Pearls and Swirls

This athletic and fancy chica is from Tickled Pink Stamps called Lil Lolita Ice Skater Sookie.
I paired her up with some older Bo Bunny papers I found stashed away. The pre-made pearl swirlies I picked up at Archiver's a while ago just waiting for the perfect time to use them!!! The sentiment from PTI was stamped in red brick Versafine.

It's time again for another wonderful challenge at Karen's Doodles! Thank you to all you who played along in our last challenge. There were some amazing entries with out of this world talent.

She's been paired up with some MME paper. The rosette was from my stash, and I picked it up at my LSS. The pearls are from Melissa Frances and were colored up a coordinating copic color.

Copics colors: Blues (B02, 00, 0000); Oranges (YR14, 12, 00, 000); hair E29, 25, 31). The trim of her dressed received some stardust stickles and the pony's hooves were done up in glossy accents.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! It's time again for another weekly giveaway. I have two almost brand spankin' new La La Land stamps and copic markers.

Since I've begun pulling out lesser used items, I realized I better post more than one or two things each week or I'm never going to get through my stuff before the end of the year. I wasn't paying attention on a couple of occasions (okay it appears at least 6 times I wasn't paying attention!!!) when I was ordering on line and ended up with duplicates.

Sweet Valentine's

Happy happy Saturday everyone!!! I hope your weekend includes some "me" time doing whatever you love to do.

As I've mentioned before, I have an attention span of a gnat at times especially when the job has the word clean, pick up, put away, organize etc in it...in my head I'm hearing isn't there something, anything you'd rather be doing...oh look at that shiny sparkly object over there wonder what that is, oh look at those pretty papers etc etc...This means my crafting space is usually a mess, but in my half assed attempt to clean yesterday which was really avoidance until I could think of something better to do, I found an image I had colored a while ago. Finding her was kind of like finding that ten bucks in the pocket of the coat you hadn't worn in a while. And wow, I just found something better (and justifiable in my head) to do than clean!!!

Little Miss Muffet...Vanilla Valentine

At Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge, we are halfway through out Valentine Love challenge. We'd love for you to join us for a chance to win two digis of your choice!

This week I've used another one of Barbara's newly released images called Vanilla from the Sugar 'n Spice collection

She and her bunny are just the sweetest things! When I fell off the crafting supply diet wagon and cracked my head open, this is one of the Cheery Lynn dies I purchased. I think it's so gorgeous and makes just a wonderful frame for this image! The design paper is from Bo Bunny, the sentiment is from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, the leafy flourish die is from MFT. The small purple flowers (I know shocked, I actually used flowers) are from Harmonie and I can't remember where the larger flower is from.

Of course she was colored up with copics. Her bottoms were done in V17, 15, 12, 000; the bunny: RV02, 00, 0000. The bunny's tail and her slippers received some applique in white for some texture and the stars on her bottoms received some stardust stickles.

Futuristic Lil Lad Stefan

Isn't he so handsome! I've paired him up with some We R Memory keepers paper and pulled the colors for his clothes from the DP. The stacking stars are a die-namics from My Favorite Things. The sentiment and coordinating die are from Whimsy Stamps. I put him on a sidewalk which I tried to make it look like it was from the Jetson's moving sidewalk thingy! I think it came out okay for the first go round.

Lil Futuristic Lolita Lilith

I'm sure you've guessed the theme of this new release...Futuristic. Isn't Lilith look pretty chic and hip? I've paired her up with some Echo Park 6x6 papers called Winter Park. The metal tags were from my stash though I think they are from a Tim Holtz collection. I picked these 4 words to represent what I hope we still have far in the future!

Oh, am I getting old or my kids are way young!! We took the kids out to a new pizzeria (I love me some pizza) in town yesterday and in the corner was a pinball machine and a video arcade game. I gave each of the kids a couple of quarters (games went up in price from the last time I played pinball!!) and told them to go play pinball. They ran over there, ran back and asked what's a pinball game and how do they play it? Did I just win mother of the year award again? Apparently, they had never been exposed to the real thing and have only ever played on their DSIs, Xbox and Wii. I decided to save the video arcade game for another trip so as not to feel so darn ancient!!

So today, I have another adorable Crafty Sentiment Design's image to show you. Suzette will have these images at the Creative Crafts Show in Manchester which runs from Feb. 9-11th. If you happen to go, pop on by stall F-18 and say Hi to Suzette! She'll have this cutie available Feb. 13th in her store.

The sentiment from PTI was cut out with a spellbinder grommet tag die and the ribbon was colored with a copic to coordinate with the rest of the colors.

She was colored up with copics. Jacket and earmuff band were done in BV04, 2, 00, 0000; the mitten and boots in B95, 93, 91, c1. Her boots also received glossy accents and the snowflakes some stardust stickles.

I've kept the layout with very clean lines (even cleaner than my usual) and didn't put any frilly stuff for this too cool of a chick. I paired her up with the MME kraft card stock 6x6 (I think it's called Happy Days) and used the yellow card stock from my stash as the accent color.

Crafty Sentiments...Shepherd Girl

Whoohoo it's snowing here today!! I'm normally not excited for snow, but we've had such a dry winter that the snow is so needed. And the older kids have a snow day which of course excited them to no end!!

I have another gorgeous image from Crafty Sentiment Design's Easter collection to show you. These stamps will be shown at the Creative Craft Show in Manchester next week Feb. 9-11th and will be available in Suzette's store beginning Feb. 13th.

This adorable girl is called Shepherd Girl. Isn't she the most perfect for an Easter or Spring card? I've paired her up with some papers from First Edition called Isabelle. The die cut borders are from memory box. The large flower is from Prima which was sprayed with Glimmer Mist in pink and the small pink rose buds are from WOC. The flat back pearls are from Melissa Frances and the small pearls in the die cut are Viva Decor liquid pearls in cream.

My darn kids keep me on my toes and some of the time they keep me in stitches! So the other day I thought all was going well, and they were playing so nicely and no fighting and then...quiet! I thought let me just get one more thing done, and I'll check on what they are getting in to (bad move). Well I found them in their closet with their crayons and some my backup copic markers and some of my stickles and some of their tattoos (and a wet sponge) with a large stack of papers. I was thinking shewwwww at least they aren't writing on the walls or on the carpet...then I looked closely at what they were writing on and all of a sudden I wished they were writing on the walls and destroying the carpet! They had gotten into my husband's office and took one of his current proposals and were working away with it! I asked them (in probably not a quiet voice, but these boys are hardly shrinking violets) what they were doing...Uh Mama we helpin Papa with his yosel (proposal)...we makin the bacon sexier. I said "what?"...we makin the bacon sexier for papa. I think I better go to the doc and see if I've developed asthma because I was laughing so hard. See, whenever DH is going off to work on one of those boring proposals (if you ever have insomnia, have your husband start talking about the Asian stock markets and the world banking systems...works every time), conference calls or work travel etc...I always say to him, Go make the bacon Sexy, make that bacon Sexy, bring it home! And as a side note, these kids did a pretty good job with their crafting side of the proposal!

Anyway...on to the real reason you popped in!!!

I've used the too sweet of an image from LOTV called Fairy Friends. I've displayed them on a scalloped circle oval easel card cut from the Spellbinders dies. Wow it's seems like forever since it was Team B's turn to showcase some fantastic digis for the CDAC Progressive Challenge.

You have until February 15th to enter at least one completed project to be entered into the drawing for the grand prize drawing for the second series which ends at the end of this month.

This wonderfully sweet image is called Teddy Swing. I've used some MME Valentine's day papers. The flowers are from Prima and the gems were from my stash. The sentiment from MFT was done in red Zing EP and cut out with a spellbinders banner die. The heart die cuts are from Memory Box.

This adorable pair was colored up with copics. Their fur was done in E29, 27, 25, 21, 30 and texture added with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. The swing was done in R39, 27, 25, 32.

Karen's Doodles...Cute and Cuddly

It's time for another two week challenge over at Karen's Doodles! Thank you to all of the marvelous entries into our paper piecing challenge. It was great to visit your blogs and see your amazing work.

Our theme for this challenge is Cute and Cuddly! Karen has some delicious cute and cuddly images if you are at a loss, but any image in our challenge will work fine as long as the theme is followed.

This adorable girl and her bunny is called Love at First Sight.
I've paired her up with some First Edition papers called Isabelle. This 6x6 pad is wonderful as there is lots of glitter paper and lots of non-glitter and all the colors coordinate:)!! The sentiments are from a MFT collection and the die cut is from MB (I think), and the ribbon from my stash.

Of course she was colored up with copics. The ruffles on her tutu received some stardust stickles for some extra sparkle as did the bow on the bunny. The bunny's eye were done with glossy accents for some shine.

Happy Valentine's Day

Before I get to today's card, I have a funny (well I thought it was funny) story. My girlfriend, the one that doesn't understand our addiction to paper et al, but faithfully visits my blog told me I was getting a little boring, and I should give people more glimpses into my chaotic crazy family and stop being so serious. Uh okay, well y'all may not have asked for it, but you'll get it anyways. Just a little background...my hubby, Ken, is a great guy and more than I could ever ask for, but he is a bit on the dry side and doesn't always find the humor in me or his kids (or other relatives and friends), and the kids' snicksname (nickname) for him is actually Crouton. He is also very reverent and is firm in his belief in God and his relationship with Him and has an idea of how spirituality should look and be expressed. I've been telling him for eons that everyone has a unique relationship with God and how they communicate with him is their own and how they hear His word, for it to have lasting meaning, needs to applicable to them and to the world they live (he wasn't completely understanding). So, he was telling the kids (including my young nephew) the story of the Resurrection of Jesus, and it was quite good how he told them, and they all appeared to understand based on their questions. I was wondering what my nephew was thinking as he was awfully quiet, but I thought no biggie, if he has questions he'll ask. Well the following week in his private Christian preschool, the teacher asked the students if they knew the story of Jesus' Resurrection. Of course, my nephew is frantically waving his hand to be called on (the teacher should've known better than to call on him), and she calls him up to the front to tell the story. This is the story he told to his class as reported by the teacher..."well kids, when Jesus came awive again, he brusheded hisself off and cweaned the dust from his cwothes (while he's doing the motions), he moveded dat big wock fwom da big hole, he stwetched out (as he's stretching) look up to the sky and saided "tank you Big Daddy" and den he wooks awond and saided "in you face suckaaaas, I baaaaaaaaaack". Den all da giwls were saying oh Jesus, Jesus, Jesus we so happy you cameded back to save us and you awive and dey were cwowding awond Jesus, and Mary said step off wadies, he taken. And den he saided," I saided I would come back and save you so if you fowow me and beweive in my word and do as I saided, you will go to heaven, if you not do wat as I saided, you will go to hell. So come on all my peeps, wets go." Needless to say, the other kids were enthralled with his interpretation of the story and were asking him questions like he was some kind of preacher. Of course he's heard me say, fake it til you make it, so he was answering their questions with all of the confidence in the world. The teacher and I were peeing our pants laughing and almost having an asthma attack. Ken, on the other hand, was mortified and I think he was waiting for the earth to open up and for him to be swallowed because my nephew told the class his uncle taught him this story.

So anyways on to today's card:)!

The crystal gems are from an I-Rock collection and the multicolored chipboard I picked up from Archivers. The sentiment is from a PTI collection and those gorgeous butterflies are from Cheery Lynn. The die cut in the purple paper is a die-namic from MFT.

My Mum's Craft Shop...Flowers

Well I fell off the craft spending sobriety wagon and cracked my head open yesterday!! My local crack dealer sent an email on Monday saying her shipment of the new copic colors would be available on Tuesday morning for $62 for the 12 new colors. And of course I was on her doorstep a few minutes after she opened. I waited in the parking lot for a bit talking to my girlfriend as I didn't want to look like the crazy stalker! These new colors are wonderful and finally some of the lonely colors in my collection have some friends to be paired up with! Of course, she got a new shipment of Cheery Lynn dies and how dare she place them oh so close to the markers and a couple jumped in my bag! After I looked at the total, I thought to myself "you know you didn't win the lottery and back on the wagon you go! " Oh but it felt so good to hear the popping of the cap on the new markers:)

Snowman Birthday

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope y'all are having a great day. First I wanted to say thanks to all of my new followers and to all of you who faithfully leave such wonderful comments! I promise I'll get to all of your blogs and stare at your wonderful designs. I feel like I'm neglecting all of you fantastic people...I've been running so far behind and a case of wrist tendonitis doesn't help, but I'm almost all caught up with the mandatory life stuff and hopefully will have some time to play.

We aren't having much of a "winter" here in Southern Colorado which is a good and bad thing. I hate winter and cold weather, but in this arid high altitude climate, we need the moisture from snow to keep us from literally catching fire in the spring and summer. We need lots of snow pack in the winter both here and in the high country so with the spring melt, the reservoirs fill back up and, we don't get into a drought which leads to all sorts of water restrictions! So now that y'all feel like a Coloradoan, I'll actually get to the point of the post...

Isn't he just the cutest snowman?! He's from Whipper Snapper Designs. Whipper Snapper has some of the best whimsical stamps and their customer service is wonderful. I dug him out of one of my bins as I was going through all my hoarded supplies and thought dang it's almost spring and this guy is gathering dust for well over a year. I'll probably be putting him and another cute Whipper snapper snowman up for a giveaway in the next couple of weeks...so stay tuned! The papers are from Little Yellow bicycle and I love the olive green they've thrown into this collection. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink from a winter greetings collection. The snowflake die cuts are from MFT.

He was dressed up for his time outside with copics. The blues are from the BG group and the greens from the YG. I had colored him up a couple of weeks ago and lost the slip of paper with the exact colors...if you saw my messy craft room this would not be a shock! The snow was done with some flock I picked up at SCACD and the bell and shoes received some glossy accents.

Little Miss Muffet...Blues and Creams

Holy smokes those two weeks flew by, and it's already time for another wonderful challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!

The theme for this two week challenge is Blues and Creams (beautiful color combo in my opinion:)), and the rules are super simple. You can use any image you'd like, but if you use a LMMS then the theme is anything goes. The winner will receive 2 digi images of their choice (or 3 if you choose to be a guest designer).

I've used Bandit Boy Tom that you can find in the store HERE. Isn't he just the berries? I've paired him up with Papertrey Ink papers that I thought fit the color scheme perfectly and used some coordinating ribbon from PTI. The bottle cap die cut and sentiment are from Whimsy Stamps. I tend to make more all occasion or general cards since most of my cards are donated to charities and this allows whomever is using the card to personalize the message however they see fit.

I just used a dotting technique with various colored copics and the colorless blender to try and represent gravel or stone. His hair color is E49, 59, 25 and 53. His shirt E55, 53, 51, 50 and jeans B97, 95, 93, 91.

MMCS...Fav Color Combo

Wow y'all kept the DT hopping last week with our for the Girls challenge! But it was great seeing so many beautiful designs.

This week our challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop is your Fav Color Combo and our wonderful sponsor is Bugaboo.

I confess that I don't have one favorite color combo, but I do prefer working with deeper richer colors and not so much pales or pastels.

This handsome guy is called Lil Lad Eric and you can find him at Tickled Pink Stamps.
I enlarged the digi and then cropped to the size I wanted (easy peasy with digis!!). I've paired him up with Bo Bunny Cambridge paper which has some wonderful deep and rich male colors that worked perfectly for Eric.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, the stitched ribbon from PTI and the metal buckles I found hiding in my stash. I cut the image out with a mega deckled rectangle Spellbinder die and framed him up with two sizes up of the same die set.

Our theme for this challenge is buttons and ribbons. You know y'all have just oodles of these in your craft space and now is a perfect time to use them!

Isn't she just the sweetest thing? I paired her up with some DP from Bo Bunny called Smoochable. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink and the buttons from my stash and the felt hearts are from SCACD.

The sentiment and heart I picked up from Gina K.

I pulled some colors from the papers and colored up with copics. The raindrops were done in stardust stickles and the dots on her coat are Ranger liquid pearls in lavendar.

This wonderful guy is called Lad Apollo Lestat (Artemis' twin and God of the light and sun, truth and prophecy, healing, plague, music, poetry and many others). Isn't he just fabulous! The DP are from Cosmo Cricket. The die cuts in the corner are from Spellbinders and they were coated with diamond stickles. The ticket sentiments are from Whimsy Stamps.

His battle dress was colored with copics of course. His clothing was done in R89, 59, 46, 43; the golds in YR24, 23, 31, 30 and hair E49, 59, 25, 53.

It's time for another wonderful challenge at Karen's Doodles. We are changing from a weekly challenge to a biweekly challenge which will give you some more time to play along. The rules are still the same...you can use any image/stamp you'd like, every entry will be entered into the random drawing of either two digi images or one digi image of the winners' choice. This skating beauty is called Skater Girl and you can find her HERE in Karen's shop.

I've paired her up with the Bo Bunny winter paper called Snowfall. The smaller chipboard snowflakes are from Make it Crafty and the large one from my stash. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

I'm going to try and spread the winning a little bit so instead of one person winning two, I'll pick two winners...each receiving one stamp. I'm sure I'm committing some kind sacrilege in the crafting world, but since I really don't use my Maggies a lot, I think they would love to be in a home that will love them and use them more frequently than I do! Tickled Pink...New Release Preview Day 2

Welcome back to another preview day for Tickled Pink's Lil Greek Gods collection!

Yesterday we showed you Athena, today we have another beautiful Goddess...

Lolita Artemis Lylah
She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo. She is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals, and fertility (even though she was granted eternal chastity by her father).

I kept the design of the card pretty simple so I could show off Artemis. The paper is from MME and the die cut was done with gold glitter paper and the die is from Memory Box called Valerian Flourish. The pearls are from Melissa Francis.

She was decorated up with copics. Her dress was done in YG 99, 97, 95, 93, 91; her hair E49, 59, 25, 53 and her skin in E99, 11, 00, 000.

Without further ado (or blathering on my part) here is the first stamp in the Lil Gods collection

Here's the beautiful and amazing Lolita Athena Lilith of the new Little Greek Gods collection. Athena was the child of Zeus which was born from his head (remembering all of those Greek Mythology lesson about now aren't you). She was the Goddess of war and crafts (amongst other areas)! So how perfect would she be for your collection?

I've paired her up with some gorgeous papers from Authentique called Blissful. The wonderful die cut is from Memory Box called Floral Circle, and the sentiment is from Stamps of Life and then embossed.

Of course she was done up in copics. Her dress was done in YR23, 31, 30; hair C9, C7, C0, B41, B97; and skin E99, 11, 00, 000. The tip of her sword and helmet received a good amount of glossy accents while her vest and portion of her helmet received stardust stickles.

Happy Friday everyone! I have another "just because I wanted to" card today and a pretty short post since I have to do the dreaded grocery store run today. Have I mentioned how much I despise grocery shopping and what a waste of money it is? The only saving grace is the baggers who happen to be older retired military guys who can tell the funniest stories, but then again, I don't get to talk to them until after I've spent a fortune and have wondered the whole time in the commissary, "My God how much higher can the cost of one can of green beans go?"

I'll come back a little later this afternoon to post the winner of the Memory Box die!

I've been working on some Valentine's Day cards and this cutie from Saturated Canary just looked perfect for the task. This image is called Thank you. Saturated Canary's current challenge is Clean and Simple. Not really my strongest suit as I really love to layer papers, but then again it is a challenge:)! She was cut out and framed up with a spellbinder die. The paper is from Bo Bunny called Sweet Treats. The sentiment is from PTI and the little pearls from my stash and well that's it!

I enlarged the digi and then cropped the portion I wanted to use. She was colored up with some copics.

We are halfway through our Something New challenge at Little Miss Muffet. You don't need to use a LMMS to play along (so no excuses:)! If you do use a LMMS, then the theme is always Anything Goes...again easy peasy.

This week the DT was asked to make anything inspirational. I hope I can inspire y'all to try and create some scenes by either masking or merging some digis or a combo of both. I admit that often times I don't think of creating a scene with an image, but I've always liked the result when I've done so. The Little Miss Muffet image I've used is called Anna-Kristine Hatter, and you can find her here in the Hatter's Collection.

She was paired up with some Glitz Papers that I got from Simon Says Stamp (thanks to the awesome gift certificate from my Dad), and I think the border die is from MFT (as I'm typing this their server is down and I'm too lazy to walk down two flights of stairs to look in my craft room for the exact name:)). The sentiment is from PTI and the pearls from Melissa Frances.

I merged Anna-Kristine with two digis from Make it Crafty...sunflower garden and cobblestone path. In my wee little opinion MIC's png files are done perfectly for use in merging. They have a wonderfully accurate transparent background that doesn't require any modification in Photoshop (unless of course you want to). LMMS digis are also done with a wonderful transparent background with the png files so no fussing about with them either!

Of course the whole scene was colored up with copics. As I look at it on my computer screen, I think I'm going to have to work a bit on my cast shadows to create more realism.
