Thought of the Week

Christmas...Antibacterial Gel Holder

Celebration Candy, go HERE

Wow 2 posts in one day!  I'm all so full of myself today...
And believe it or not, I don't have a card this time.  I actually can do other paper crafts besides cards albeit not my strongest suit though:)!

This is one cute and relatively easy project that my kids love to give to their teachers for one of their holiday gifts.  Of course the teachers love it as well because it isn't lotion or perfume and it's calorie free!!!

This is a handy dandy little holder for anti-bacterial gel.  I found this wonderful tutorial about a year ago on Erica Cerwin's blog, Pink Buckaroo Designs.  Here is the link to the tutorial.  I'll also put the link under Tutorials on my header. You can pick up these cute little pocket sized gels at Bath and Body Works for around a buck a piece.  BAB always has different designs out for each of the holidays and obviously this one is for Christmas.  This picture shows the inside of the holder when it is opened.  The Kraft card stock is from a Jillibean Soup collection.  The tickets are from Melissa Frances.

This is the front of the holder when it is closed.  It's been decorated up with a Saturated Canary image called Cocoa Boy and of course he is colored with copics.  The snowflake is a chipboard from Make it Crafty, the red twine is from Jillibean Soup and the gems were from my stash.

Here's the side view of the holder.  No I didn't make it crooked, I couldn't get it to stay put while I was photographing the darn thing!

Inside without the gel.  I've used a magnetic closure for this particular holder.  You can see the black strip above the Dear Santa and the other magnet is inside the box.

And one last picture shows you the front and the top edge of the holder.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoyed seeing a quick and easy project.
